Outside the house are the grounds, which constitute a heritage landscape. After the sweeping renovation of her home during the 1960s, Eva Klabin invited Roberto Burle Marx to handle this aspect. Deeply appreciative of the bright colors and formal wealth of tropical plant life, this landscape designer endowed the yard of this collector with many of his own esthetic  characteristics, whose plants, carp pool and granite walkways blend together in a harmonious whole.

In 2002, the yard was completely restored, underwritten by the Vitae Foundation, eliminating some distortions that had crept in over time. Now fully restored, it stands ready to welcome visitors for their enjoyment.
